Ailin Perez’s win over Norma Dumont strengthens a decision-heavy betting profile
Perez extended her winning run through positional control and selective offense, reinforcing the markets that matter while exposing the risk of paying a steep moneyline price.
Ailin Perez left UFC Vegas 121 with a unanimous-decision win over Norma Dumont and their rivalry still simmering. Cageside Press reported that security separated the bantamweights after the final horn, following a fight in which Perez found first-round top control but struggled to turn a late clinch into another takedown.
The result moves Perez to 14-2 and gives the No. 5-ranked bantamweight a third consecutive unanimous decision. The animosity supplied the promotion, but the fight itself added another data point to a much more useful betting story: Perez continues to win through a combination of takedown pressure, control and restrained striking rather than sustained damage or consistent finishing threats.
That distinction matters because bettors were already paying a substantial moneyline price. Perez closed at -165 at four of the six tracked books, with Bovada at -163. Dumont ranged from +132 to +140. Perez justified the price with the win, but the route she took again shows why her moneyline and method markets should not be treated as interchangeable.
Perez keeps building wins without chasing volume
Perez has won seven of the eight bouts in our archive. Six of those seven victories came by decision, with one submission. Her listed 14% finish rate on wins therefore comes from a sample of only seven archived victories and should be treated with that limitation in mind. Still, the distribution is clear enough to describe her UFC betting profile: decisions have driven the results.
Her last five fights sharpen the point. Perez submitted Daria Zhelezniakova in the first round, but her other four victories in that span went the full three rounds. The Dumont result followed unanimous decisions over Macy Chiasson and Karol Rosa.
