Damian Pinas’ UFC 335 Tease Puts His First-Round Power Under a New Test
A proposed fight with Baisangur Susurkaev would extend Pinas’ rapid schedule, but his explosive three-fight UFC sample still leaves major defensive questions unanswered.
Damian Pinas has pointed toward a December return against Baisangur Susurkaev, creating a prospective middleweight matchup built around momentum, finishing ability and far more uncertainty than the promotion around it suggests.
Bloody Elbow reported that Pinas and Susurkaev have signaled a possible meeting at UFC 335 on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, with Pinas describing the fight as “easy”; the outlet identified Susurkaev as an unbeaten 12-0 teammate of Khamzat Chimaev. There is no linked bout in the PropBetEdge database yet, so the matchup should be treated as a developing booking rather than a finalized fight.
That distinction matters for bettors. The announcement changes the list of markets worth preparing for, but it does not create an actionable position by itself. Pinas has supplied a clear finishing pattern. The missing half is whether Susurkaev’s mechanics give that pattern room to continue.
Pinas has compressed four fights into three first rounds of usable UFC data
Pinas is 11-1 overall and has won all four fights in the PropBetEdge archive by first-round knockout or technical knockout. That run began against Vitor Costa on Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2025 and continued through UFC wins over Wes Schultz, Cesar Almeida and Andrey Pulyaev.

The latest victory came Oct. 3, only 12 days before this prospective matchup surfaced. If the Dec. 12 date becomes official, Pinas would be attempting his fourth UFC appearance of 2026 after competing in February, July and October.
His UFC production explains why method-of-victory and round betting would attract immediate attention. Pinas lands 6.33 significant strikes per minute with 63 percent accuracy. Across the three bouts for which round-level data is available, he landed 45 significant strikes at 71 percent accuracy and registered four knockdowns. All three fights ended in the opening round.
