Drakkar Klose’s clinch plan tests Tommy Gantt’s steep Noche UFC price

Drakkar Klose returns from a 390-day absence Saturday at Noche UFC carrying a repaired shoulder, a specific clinch-heavy game plan and the longest betting price of the seven-book snapshot.

BJPenn.com reported that Klose tore his shoulder in the second round of his August 2025 decision win over Edson Barboza. The same report put the expected recovery at nine to 12 months and relayed Klose’s intention to “make it dirty” against Tommy Gantt by stuffing takedowns, working in the clinch and pursuing a third-round stoppage.

That plan matters because this prelim has been priced as a mismatch. As of Sept. 8, Gantt ranged from -500 to -550, while Klose was available from +350 to +400. The market requires bettors laying -500 to win more than five out of every six bets to break even before accounting for the bookmaker’s margin.

Klose’s comments offer a mechanism for resistance, not proof that the price is wrong.

Gantt’s wrestling is the central problem

Gantt has produced 11.29 takedowns per 15 minutes in the available career data. His round-level sample contains six completed takedowns and five minutes of control across two rounds. He also owns a 6.5-inch reach advantage, stands two inches taller and is five years younger than the 38-year-old Klose.
