Farid Basharat’s UFC exit freezes a decision-heavy betting profile at 16-0
The No. 13 bantamweight leaves without a booking, turning a reliable blend of takedowns, control and defensive striking into a future-market question rather than an immediate wager.
Farid Basharat is still unbeaten, still ranked No. 13 at bantamweight and no longer under UFC contract. MMA Fighting reported that the promotion declined to re-sign him after his July win, while Basharat rejected the suggestion that he had turned down fights or had been difficult to manage.
That dispute carries reputational stakes, but bettors should separate the contract story from Basharat’s measurable fighting profile. Nothing about the exit changes how he built a 16-0 record. It does change where, when and under what rules that profile might next become bettable.
There is no upcoming opponent or linked bout, so there is no current betting line to attack. The practical work is to preserve the right priors rather than letting an unusual exit distort them.
Basharat’s record was built on repeatable round-winning mechanics
Basharat’s archived eight-fight sample contains eight wins: seven decisions and one submission. He has not recorded a knockout or TKO in that span, and each of his last five victories reached the scorecards. Four were unanimous decisions; the exception was a split decision over Jean Matsumoto in February.
That result pattern is not merely a list of outcomes. It reflects how Basharat allocates risk.
Across seven bouts with detailed round data, he landed 371 significant strikes and 23 takedowns over 19 rounds while accumulating 30 minutes of control. He registered no knockdowns and attempted two submissions. His career rates reinforce the same structure: 4.05 significant strikes landed per minute, 2.47 absorbed, 60 percent striking defence and 3.6 takedowns per 15 minutes.

Amanda Nunes’ scouting claim adds intrigue, not proof, against Kayla Harrison
Nunes says old sparring sessions exposed persistent flaws, but the UFC 334 matchup will turn on whether her proven takedown defence survives a 1,229-day layoff.

Temirov’s five knockdowns create the obvious danger, but Kavanagh’s reach, target diversity and deeper grappling record complicate every finish-based betting angle.
