Episode by episode: the bouts that aired and the sourced competition events. Results are the tournament’s own record below; an episode only says where they aired.
Professional: 1 · House results verified: 14 · House exhibitions: 14
Result and classification are separate. A reported winner comes from the season record alone; a verified one is stated by an official source or our own result records. Only sourced professional bouts count toward a professional record — house exhibitions and unresolved house bouts never do.
The source numbers these rounds in a way that does not map onto a standard bracket; they are listed here in the order given. Gabe Ruediger was expelled for missing weight and Rob Emerson reinstated in his place; Marlon Sims, Noah Thomas and Allen Berube were expelled after a backyard fight.
early_rounds — The source labels the opening bouts as an elimination round plus 'Round 2', 'Round 3' and 'Round 4' across episodes 1-7, which does not map cleanly onto a sixteen-fighter bracket. They are recorded together as the opening rounds in the order given, without being renamed into stages the source does not claim.
final_method_and_opponent_name — Our own records and the season source describe the same bout differently. Both agree on round 2 at twenty seconds and on Nate Diaz winning. The source calls it a TKO from a shoulder injury; UFC Stats records it as a submission. And the opponent is 'Manny Gamburyan' in the source and 'Manvel Gamburyan' in ufc_fighters — the same man under two spellings. Both readings are kept; neither is corrected into the other.
gamburyan_name — The season source calls him Manny Gamburyan; our fighter roster and ufcstats call him Manvel Gamburyan. One man, two spellings — the archive keeps the source’s and records the roster’s alongside it, so a lookup on either resolves. Found because the classification check reported the final as unverifiable when the bout was in our records all along.
final_method_wording — Our result row records the final as a submission; the season source records a TKO on a shoulder injury. Both describe the same bout on the same card — Gamburyan’s shoulder dislocated and the fight ended there — so this is two descriptions of one finish, not two fights. Recorded rather than reconciled, because neither source is wrong about what happened.
Season data from the season record, retrieved 2026-09-07. The finale card now holds nine bouts — backfill window B-2007 loaded them — so the tournament final is VERIFIED against our own ufc_bout_results row rather than merely sourced. The coaches' bout on the same card is still sourced only: B.J. Penn has no fighter row yet, so there is nothing to verify it against. Nothing is imported; the card's bouts live on the event page and are linked, not restated. House results, fight dates and classification are from the Nevada State Athletic Commission's Season 5 results record (tuf5-tuf6-nsac-reconciliation, reviewed by Justin Erickson). The draft's differing values are kept in each bout's corrections and superseded_result_sources; compatible method detail survives only where the commission category agrees. Printed readings: Matt Wiman vs Marlon Sims: the record prints "choke out ... rear naked choke"; read as Technical submission (rear naked choke) (approved reading).
