Esteban Ribovics’ UFC 332 weight miss adds risk to a steep King Green price
Ribovics remains booked to face Green, but the scale failure creates a new conditioning variable that the available moneyline snapshot cannot resolve.
Esteban Ribovics will still face King Green at UFC 332, but bettors now have a late variable to price into one of Saturday’s main-card fights.
MMA Fighting reported that Ribovics weighed 156.5 pounds, half a pound above the non-title lightweight limit, while Green made weight at 155.5; the bout will proceed at catchweight, with Ribovics forfeiting 20 percent of his purse. Ribovics was the card’s lone weight miss.
The miss is small in absolute terms. Its betting significance depends on what produced it, and the available information does not answer that question. A difficult final cut could affect Ribovics’ ability to sustain his exceptional striking output over three rounds. A simple timing error might have almost no competitive effect. Treating every weight miss as either meaningless or automatically damaging skips the mechanism that matters.
The available prices do not show the market’s reaction
Our odds snapshot, recorded at 16:25 UTC Friday, listed Ribovics between -230 and -250 across seven books. Green ranged from +190 to +200. Ribovics’ best available price was -230 at Caesars and DraftKings, while Green’s high was +200 at BetOnline.

That snapshot predates the outside report’s 17:04 UTC publication. It therefore cannot establish how sportsbooks reacted to the miss—or whether the information had already reached the market when those prices were captured. Without a verified post-weigh-in update, any claim that the market moved toward Green or dismissed the news would be guesswork.
This matters because laying -230 or more requires more than deciding Ribovics is the likelier winner. The bettor must determine whether the scale failure materially changes the favorite’s ability to execute the style supporting that price. There is no model output available to settle that question, and the moneyline alone cannot identify the cause or expected effect of the miss.
The practical response is to compare current prices against the recorded range rather than chase a narrative. A meaningful drift away from Ribovics would create a different decision than an unchanged market. It still would not prove that the move is correct, but it would show how much extra uncertainty sportsbooks and bettors have attached to the weight issue.
