Jacobe Smith’s Kevin Holland callout has force behind it — but no bettable matchup yet
Smith’s first-round finish at UFC 332 strengthens his case for a bigger assignment, while his limited but violent UFC sample points bettors toward finish and grappling markets once an opponent is booked.
Jacobe Smith did more than preserve his unbeaten record at UFC 332. He stopped Bruce Whitehead in the first round, moved to 13-0 and immediately redirected attention toward the Kevin Holland fight that never happened.
BJPenn.com reported that Smith had been scheduled to face Holland before an injury forced Holland out, after which Smith was moved into the Whitehead matchup. Following the win, Smith delivered an explicit warning and called for Holland again.
The callout creates interest, not a wagering opportunity. No Smith-Holland bout is booked, and the available data packet contains no opponent profile for a direct comparison. What bettors can evaluate is why Smith’s finishing run has been repeatable so far—and where the evidence remains too thin to carry into his next fight without adjustment.
Smith’s finishing run is built on more than punching power
Smith’s last five archived fights cover four UFC appearances and his Contender Series win. He finished all five: four by knockout or TKO and one by submission. Three of the stoppages came in the first round, including consecutive first-round knockouts of Josiah Harrell and Whitehead in 2026.
That is a meaningful finishing pattern, but five archived wins still constitute a small sample rather than a settled career baseline. The more useful betting information comes from how Smith has produced those endings.

Across his career statistics, Smith lands 6.89 significant strikes per minute with 67% accuracy. He also averages 7.78 takedowns per 15 minutes and has converted 91% of his attempts. Those numbers describe a fighter who can generate offense through both phases rather than depending on a single clean counter.
The round-level database narrows the sample further: four bouts, five rounds and 102 significant strikes landed. Smith connected at 63% accuracy in those rounds, added five takedowns on 83% accuracy and accumulated seven minutes of control. He has landed 71 significant strikes to the head, 20 to the body and 11 to the legs.
