Jacobe Smith’s Kevin Holland callout puts his finishing profile back in focus
Smith has no confirmed next opponent, but his blend of early damage and high-percentage wrestling identifies the markets bettors should examine when he is booked again.
Jacobe Smith did not get the opponent he wanted at UFC 332. He still produced the kind of result that will shape betting markets around his next appearance.
MMA Fighting reported that Smith stopped late replacement Bruce Whitehead in 92 seconds after Kevin Holland withdrew with an injury, then renewed his callout by saying Holland had put him through “two fight camps.” The report also said Holland had previously withdrawn from a July booking with Smith and is now scheduled to face Uros Medic at UFC 334.
That frustration supplies the headline, but it does not create a bet. Smith and Holland are not currently booked, and the packet contains no confirmed next fight for Smith. The useful development is that Smith stayed active, moved to 13-0 and added another first-round stoppage to a statistical profile built around fast pressure, efficient offense and a credible wrestling alternative.
Smith’s finishing run has more than one mechanism
Smith’s five archived bouts consist of five wins and five finishes: four by knockout or TKO and one by submission. Three of those victories ended in the first round, while the other two ended in the second. He has not reached a third round in that sample.
That 100 percent finishing mark applies only to those five archived wins. It should not be treated as a universal career rate, especially when one of the five came on Dana White’s Contender Series and the sample contains only four UFC bouts. Still, the sequence is relevant because Smith has not depended on one narrow route.

Preston Parsons and Josiah Harrell fell by first-round knockout or TKO. Niko Price lasted into the second round but lost by submission. Whitehead then became Smith’s third first-round stoppage in four UFC appearances. The outcomes point toward early-finish and inside-the-distance markets, but the underlying process matters more than the result labels.

Nunes says old sparring sessions exposed persistent flaws, but the UFC 334 matchup will turn on whether her proven takedown defence survives a 1,229-day layoff.

Lone’er Kavanagh’s variety meets Ramazan Temirov’s concentrated power at UFC 333
Temirov’s five knockdowns create the obvious danger, but Kavanagh’s reach, target diversity and deeper grappling record complicate every finish-based betting angle.
