Natalia Silva’s Active-Champion Plan Reinforces a Decision-Heavy Betting Profile
Silva wants a quick start to her flyweight reign, but her nine-fight UFC sample points bettors toward pace, defense and round accumulation rather than early finishes.
Natalia Silva has no intention of treating the flyweight belt as a reason to slow down. Bloody Elbow reported that Silva won the championship by unanimous decision over Wang Cong at UFC 332 and said she wants to defend frequently rather than wait for former champion Valentina Shevchenko, whose return timetable is unclear because of shoulder and back ligament damage.
The declaration matters for the division’s schedule, but activity alone does not create a betting edge. Silva fought one day ago, has no next opponent or booking in the packet, and enters any future matchup with variables that cannot yet be priced: the challenger, the date, the number of rounds and the terms of the matchup.
What bettors can carry forward is the mechanism behind her unbeaten nine-bout UFC run. Silva has developed into a high-output, defensively responsible striker whose recent fights consistently reach the scorecards. An active champion with that profile could create recurring opportunities in distance, round-total and significant-strike markets—but only if the eventual opponent does not introduce a credible way to disrupt her preferred geography.
Silva’s title run has been built for scorecards
Silva is 9-0 across the nine archived UFC bouts in the PropBetEdge database. Seven of those victories came by decision and two by knockout or technical knockout. She has not recorded a submission win in that sample, and she has never been finished during it.
The recent trend is even more concentrated. Each of Silva’s last five victories—over Viviane Araujo, Jessica Andrade, Alexa Grasso, Rose Namajunas and Wang—went to a decision. That sequence covers four three-round fights followed by her first five-round appearance in the archived sample.
This is not simply a run of low-activity wins. Silva has landed 611 significant strikes across 27 tracked rounds, sustained output over a nine-bout sample. Her career rate stands at 4.81 significant strikes landed per minute, while she absorbs only 2.36. The gap comes with a 45 percent career striking accuracy and 66 percent striking defense.

Temirov’s five knockdowns create the obvious danger, but Kavanagh’s reach, target diversity and deeper grappling record complicate every finish-based betting angle.
