Natalia Silva-Wang Cong puts a five-round strain on a striker’s moneyline
Silva owns the stronger defensive profile, but Wang’s output and plus-money price turn UFC 332’s five-round main event into a test of pace, range and unproven late-fight durability.
Natalia Silva enters UFC 332 as the No. 1 flyweight and a clear betting favorite, but the shape of Saturday’s main event is more competitive than the rankings suggest. Silva and Wang Cong are southpaw strikers with nearly identical reach, strong defensive numbers and recent records built primarily on decisions. The scheduled five rounds create the most important uncertainty: how their established three-round styles hold up over 25 minutes.
MMA Mania highlighted the central tactical question early Saturday: whether Wang can pressure through Silva’s preferred kicking range and turn the bout into a closer boxing exchange. That is also the mechanism behind the betting decision. A bettor taking Wang is not merely opposing the favorite; that position depends on Wang sustaining her higher output while preventing Silva from controlling distance and banking cleaner, safer rounds.
The verified moneyline market ranges from Silva -205 to -220 and Wang +163 to +180. That makes price shopping material. The difference between +163 and +180 is significant when the underdog’s case rests on a competitive striking matchup rather than a clear grappling mismatch or a proven finishing advantage.
Wang’s volume edge meets Silva’s defensive efficiency
Wang lands 6.22 significant strikes per minute, 1.41 more than Silva’s 4.81. She also lands at 56 percent accuracy while absorbing 2.19 per minute. Across six bouts with round data, Wang has landed 478 significant strikes in 15 rounds, including 225 to the head, 114 to the body and 139 to the legs.

That distribution matters against a mobile kicker. Wang does not need to chase Silva’s head exclusively. Her 107 body strikes and 106 leg strikes show routes to score while attacking the movement and range management that support Silva’s game.
Silva’s answer is defense. She absorbs 2.36 significant strikes per minute and defends 66 percent, compared with Wang’s 63 percent striking defense. Silva has landed 502 significant strikes over 22 tracked rounds, with a balanced secondary attack behind 289 head strikes: 107 to the body and 106 to the legs. She has also won all eight archived bouts, including five consecutive unanimous decisions against Rose Namajunas, Alexa Grasso, Jessica Andrade, Viviane Araujo and Andrea Lee.
