Nick Galanti’s 35-Pound Cut Adds Context — Not Proof — After UFC Edmonton
Galanti finished Julien LeBlanc in the first round after an extreme short-notice cut, leaving bettors with a conditioning question his two-fight sample cannot answer.
Nick Galanti’s first UFC win came with a hidden variable that matters more for his next booking than it did for the result in Edmonton.
Cageside Press reported that Galanti weighed 219 pounds when he accepted the fight 15 days out and believed he needed to lose 35 pounds, although he had remained active by training with a teammate. He still submitted Julien LeBlanc in the first round on Oct. 17, improving to 9-1.
The result establishes that Galanti could make the contracted weight and perform effectively enough to win early under severe time pressure. It does not establish that he could sustain his pace through a long fight after the same kind of cut. LeBlanc never forced that test.
That distinction should shape how bettors handle Galanti’s next appearance. The disclosure adds a conditioning variable, but the available UFC-level evidence remains too thin to turn it into a bet by itself.
Two fights have shown finishing routes, not a complete profile
Galanti’s archived sample covers only two bouts and two total rounds. He knocked out Carlos Petruzzella in the first round on Dana White’s Contender Series, then submitted LeBlanc in the opening round at UFC Edmonton. Both wins were finishes, one by strikes and one by submission.

Calling him a 100% finisher without the sample warning would be misleading. The rate applies only to two archived wins. What the results do show is that Galanti has already converted two different early-fight pathways: immediate striking damage in one appearance and a submission in the other.
The underlying totals are compact but consistent with that picture. Across those two rounds, Galanti landed nine significant strikes at 75% accuracy, recorded one knockdown, completed one takedown at 50% accuracy, accumulated two minutes of control and attempted one submission. Eight of his nine significant strikes landed to the head, with one to the body and none to the legs.
