Nick Galanti’s 86-Second Submission Adds a Second Route to His UFC Betting Profile
Galanti followed his Contender Series knockout with a first-round rear-naked choke, but two archived fights remain too thin a sample for broad conclusions.
Nick Galanti did more than win his UFC debut. He showed that opponents cannot build their entire defensive plan around the power that earned him a contract.
Cageside Press reported that Galanti opened against Julien LeBlanc with a body kick, converted an early takedown, passed around the guard and secured a rear-naked choke at 1:26 of the first round. The result moved the 28-year-old middleweight to 9-1 and gave him consecutive first-round finishes by different methods.
That distinction matters more than the unbeaten two-fight run in PropBetEdge’s archive. Galanti knocked out Carlos Petruzzella on the Contender Series in August, then submitted LeBlanc less than two months later. The new information is not simply that Galanti can grapple. It is that his first UFC takedown led directly to a decisive sequence before his opponent could establish any sustained offense.
For bettors, this expands the list of plausible finishing routes. It does not yet establish how reliably Galanti can reproduce any of them.
Galanti attacked the defensive reaction, not just the target
Galanti entered the UFC with a recent knockout carrying most of his visible form. Against LeBlanc, he changed the mechanism immediately. The southpaw used a body kick before moving into the takedown, then advanced position rather than settling for low-value control.
That sequence matters because takedown props and submission markets depend on more than a fighter’s willingness to wrestle. A completed entry can produce one statistical takedown without creating meaningful danger. Galanti turned his completion into back exposure and a choke, showing positional efficiency within this specific matchup.

His archived round data now covers two fights and only two rounds. Within that narrow sample, he has landed one of two takedown attempts, recorded one submission attempt, scored one knockdown and accumulated two minutes of control. He has also landed nine significant strikes at 75 percent accuracy, with eight directed to the head and one to the body.
