UFC 334 Loses Sadykhov-Nascimento, but Gane-Hokit Betting Case Is Unchanged
The lightweight cancellation thins the Madison Square Garden card without altering the mechanics of its five-round heavyweight main event.

UFC 334 has lost its planned lightweight matchup between Nazim Sadykhov and Jefferson Nascimento, but the disruption has not reached the top of the card.
Bloody Elbow reported that Nascimento withdrew with an injury before Sadykhov, who had been managing an injury of his own, told the UFC not to seek a replacement for him. The withdrawal removes both fighters rather than creating a late-notice opponent situation.
Ciryl Gane versus Josh Hokit remains announced as the five-round, non-title main event for Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden. The fight is present on the official card, and there is no withdrawal report attached to either heavyweight. That distinction matters for bettors: the undercard changed, but nothing in the available information changes the preparation window, opponent, scheduled length or competitive structure of Gane-Hokit.
The cancellation does not create a main-event betting edge
Card attrition can matter when it forces a replacement, changes a bout’s scheduled length or produces a short-notice opponent with a sharply different style. None of those mechanisms applies here. Sadykhov-Nascimento was a separate matchup, and its removal supplies no new evidence about Gane or Hokit.

That means bettors should resist turning general event uncertainty into a thesis on the heavyweights. The relevant Gane-Hokit questions remain the same: whether Hokit can force exchanges at his preferred pace, whether he can use wrestling to narrow Gane’s spatial advantages, and whether his defensive numbers hold up over a longer fight against a more experienced opponent.
The cancellation could eventually affect bout order or broadcast pacing, but the packet does not establish either change. Those possibilities are operational details, not reasons by themselves to alter a view on moneyline, totals or method-of-victory markets.
