Katlyn Cerminara’s First-Round TKO Adds a New Outcome, Not Yet a New Profile
Cerminara punished reckless entries at UFC Edmonton, but her decision-heavy history still sets the baseline for betting her next matchup.
Katlyn Cerminara returned from a two-and-a-half-year absence with the rarest result on her résumé: an early stoppage.
Cageside Press reported that Cerminara used her size, jab and counters to punish Mackenzie Stiller’s repeated attempts to close distance, producing a first-round TKO at 4:46. The victory moved Cerminara to 19-6 and ended a two-fight losing streak, with both defeats having come by decision.
The result matters for bettors, but not because one stoppage should erase an 18-fight archive. It matters because the finish showed a specific mechanism that could reappear against the right opponent: Cerminara can convert length and composure into damage when an aggressive fighter repeatedly supplies predictable entries.

The finish came from an interaction, not a reinvention
Cerminara’s career numbers describe a high-activity striker without a sustained finishing history. She lands 4.58 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 4.48, with 34% accuracy and 62% striking defense. Across 17 bouts with complete round data, she landed 1,104 significant strikes but recorded only one knockdown.
Her target distribution reinforces the picture. Cerminara has landed 677 significant strikes to the head, 269 to the body and 158 to the legs. She accumulates offense primarily through repeated scoring rather than a small number of fight-changing connections.
That makes the Stiller result notable, but also easy to misread. Cerminara did not need to become an indiscriminate pressure fighter or abandon the measured style behind her previous success. The finish developed because Stiller kept advancing into the weapons that Cerminara could deploy at range and on entry. The jab established separation, straight counters met forward movement, and knees became available when that distance collapsed.
