Ryan MacDonald’s Archived UFC Data Has No Place in the Moicano-Nolan Market
Ryan MacDonald is the packet’s primary fighter, but he has no listed bout or opponent, making his old four-round sample unusable for UFC Vegas 123 betting.
MMA Mania previewed UFC Vegas 123 as a card led by Renato Moicano against Tom Nolan, with Randy Brown against Jacobe Smith in the co-main event. Ryan MacDonald does not appear in either matchup, and PropBetEdge’s database contains no bout or opponent attached to him.
That disconnect matters more than any superficial statistical comparison. MacDonald’s archived numbers cannot be used to handicap Moicano-Nolan, and the available Moicano-Nolan prices cannot be attached to MacDonald. The correct betting response is to keep the records separate rather than manufacture a matchup that the packet does not contain.
Polymarket links are affiliate links: PropBetEdge may earn compensation from qualifying activity. It never changes the prices or comparisons shown.
Ryan MacDonald’s sample is narrow and dated
MacDonald’s archived UFC record covers two bouts, four rounds and 45 significant strikes landed. He lost both appearances: a unanimous decision against Chris Gutierrez on March 23, 2019, and a first-round knockout or technical knockout against Louis Smolka on Sept. 14, 2019.
The database lists 2,603 days since his last bout. That gap sharply limits what his career rates can tell a bettor about his present ability, even before accounting for the absence of a current opponent.
Within the available sample, MacDonald landed 2.28 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 6.49. His significant-strike accuracy was 29 percent, and his striking defense was 45 percent. Mechanically, that profile describes an archived stretch in which he struggled to land efficiently and allowed substantially more offense than he produced.

The target distribution adds some detail: 24 significant strikes to the head, 14 to the legs and seven to the body. But it does not solve the sample problem. Four rounds across two losses are not enough to establish a stable offensive pattern, especially after a layoff measured in years.
