Pre-draft exits, team draft, elimination fights, semi-finals, live finals. Eighteen fighters arrived, nine per division. Before the draft one was injured out, one left the show, and one forfeited his match. None of these was a bout. A coin flip gave Franklin the first pick, and each coach drafted eight fighters, four per division. Team challenges decided which team chose the next matchup, and the loser of each fight left the competition. A fighter could fight more than once, a replacement could take a withdrawn winner's place, and a fighter could reach the last four without a house fight. Dana White, Franklin and Hughes set the semi-final matchups with input from the fighters.
Result and classification are separate. A reported winner comes from the season record alone; a verified one is stated by an official source or our own result records. Only sourced professional bouts count toward a professional record — house exhibitions and unresolved house bouts never do.
Season data from the season record, retrieved 2026-09-08. Drafted from the source article by scripts/tuf/import_season.mjs, which reads the bracket templates and the episode summaries separately and joins them. Where the two disagree the bout carries no winner and the disagreement is recorded in _conflicts. Finale results are not asserted here; they are verified against our own result rows in seasons.json. House results, fight dates and classification are from the Nevada State Athletic Commission's Season 2 results record (tuf2-gold-standard); the draft's differing values are kept in each bout's corrections.
Draft order from the season source's episode 2 team-selection table (Wikipedia, secondary; it prints 'Rob McDonald'). Rosters are as drafted; moves and exits are timeline events.
Known source defects kept as found: The listing's titles for episodes 10 (Semi-Final #1 Killer Instinct) and 11 (Semi-Final #2 Bloody Brawl) agree with the season record, but its two descriptions are swapped: item 10 describes Evans vs Jardine and item 11 describes the semi-final draw and the first welterweight finalist; Episodes 11 and 12 carry the same listing date (2005-10-31); The display date is one day after the listing date for every item (19:00 Pacific rendered as the next UTC day).
